Our Hog Roasting Business started 17 years ago in 2000. From a small scale we have built up a thriving and very popular side to the farm.
During this time, we have provided well over 3,000 hog roasts and have gained a reputation for producing excellent food and service. We have provided hog roasts for all manner of events from christenings, weddings and funerals to large corporate fun days and launch parties.
We pride ourselves on ease of convenience and can cater from 80 to a few thousand. We can provide various options and prices accordingly, from simply carving your hog roast for you to a full three course sit down meal.
Whichever you choose, you can be sure that you will be giving your guests a delicious but ‘happy’ pig with full traceability and provenance back to our farm served by our team of experienced and enthusiastic staff.
HOG ROAST OPTIONS:
All Pigs used for cooking come from our own herd of pigs born and raised on the farm here in Exeter, Devon. With every hog roast you will receive a pig that will be large enough to feed your guests mounted on a spit.
• COOK & CARVE
With this option we will carve the meat for you onto platters ready for you to serve.
We start the pig cooking here at the farm then deliver it before your serve time to your venue where we will finish cooking, then carve it for your guests with accompaniments you have supplied.
• COOK & CARVE PLUS
The same service as above but we also supply apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing and fresh rolls from our local bakery. We bring two people to serve the roast pork and crackling in a roll to your guests with a napkin.
• FULL SERVICE
We will provide the complete catering service. We cook & carve the pig, serve it with rolls, apple sauce, sage and onion stuffing, sauces and condiments. There is also a choice of salads and vegetarian options included. The food is served on good quality recycled paper plates with napkins and biodegradable wooden cutlery. We can provide china plates and silver cutlery at extra cost.
We can also provide homemade canapes and puddings, local cheese board, tea and coffee.
If you already have a caterer in mind we will gladly work with them to provide a perfectly cooked pig carved onto platters and ready to serve with their food.
Lamb, beef, venison and turkey can also be cooked on our hog roast machines.
